Oil in exhaust port closest to passenger side

I did a compression test on my car and it showed 35 less on the cylinder closest to the passengers side. I pulled my exhaust manifold and noticed a lot of oil in the exhaust port of the low cylinder. I just had supertech dual springs and retainers, kelford cams, new lifters, and l19 headstuds a few thousand miles ago. Is this something that could have been caused by the installation of these parts or just bad luck. Thanks in advance for the help

Most likely bad rings or a leaking valve stem seal. Put a capful of oil in the spark plug hole (on top of piston) and redo the compression test. Tell us what happens.

I missed that part.. If you had this done by a shop, go back and request them to inspect it and express your concerns.. They should do it willingly.

thanks for the response. The compression did come up when the oil was placed in the cylinder. Im going to be pulling the head later today. Since the compression came up with the oil it would more than likely be bad piston rings correct?

Yes. Looks like you need new piston rings. And you can't blame the shop for the cams/ spring installation which is good.
