Odd for sure. Hopefully it stays off for you.. But, if it stays on and if all the fluids and hardparts check out, i would do some further investigation.. I would at least disconnect the ACD control unit and re plug it to see if it changes. Also disconnect the gauge cluster and re install it. It worth try.

As Kyoo said, it won't affect the drive-ability. It's impossible to stay 2 locking/ ACD engagement modes. Or you can just get a non-ACD, as blowngasket mentioned and forget about it lol

Well, I've definitely noticed more understeer less oversteer in snow mode, by a large margin, unfortunately roads are completely dry now and letting the back end out on dry tarmac in this car is not something I like to do outside of a closed track. (Who doesn't miss the **** out of rwd) so, next rainy night ill give it a shot. Shouldn't have to wait to long. And ill be by the shop by Fri, see if I can get my guy to run a diagnostic, but it seems pretty solid. Took her to 8 k in third and pulled just as hard with little torque steer to speak of. Maybe it just went on the fritz momentarily just to eff with my head. Thanks folks for the input I shall update if and when we sort this all out.

Thanks
Zig.

If the shop scans for codes and you end up having none.. I wouldn't worry about it. And if you want more oversteer, get a better rear diff like the TRE unit.

I imagine he would just plug his laptop in there. And try to figure out what was going on. But apparently acd doesn't log errors.
Quaiff or tre in the near future. He says tre isn't all that but they seem to be pretty popular around here and at roughly half the price.

The TRE "12-plate" maxx lock differential is very good. You won't be disappointed.

Update...

It's been a thousand miles since I reset computer by disconnecting battery. So far so good.. car definitely picked up a little extra rear rotation when I was able to get in it in a corner, compared anyway to the greater fwd I was/imagined experiencing. The light has since been normal. Future plans are quaiff or tre rear and acd tune. This all after I get my clutch. ****in evo needs its own bank account.
