Just wondering how long folks have been driving their X's with the TARMAC/GRAVEL/SNOW light flashing, indicating a ACD pump failure?

Will this do any damage to the AWD system (ie. clutches) if prolonged?

I drove my 2008 x with a bad pump for almost a year. I never had any other issues because of it, but I ended up trading in the car for a 2011. Other damage could have occured, but I doubt it. Hopefully you still have some kind of warranty. Since there is a tsb on it, you shouldn't have too many problems with the dealership.

 

unfortunately my ACD pump bit the dust after my warranty, thus Mitsu will not cover it as its not under the 5 yr warranty, only the 3yr bumper to bumper

gotta source a pump now.
