tranny/tcase

Hey guys I am about to send my tranny and tcase to shep to get rebuilt. I have only seen a couple videos on how to do this. Can you drop the trans and tcase all at once? If anyone knows some good videos on this and maybe even a guide I would appreciate it!

It would be nearly impossible to do them both at the same time, at least without totally dropping off the subframe.

Normal way to do it is remove axles and stubs (hopefully they come out together) then remove the tcase from the trans and off the driveshaft, then unbolt the trans from the engine, fight with popping the throwout bearing from the clutch for 50 hours, then pull the trans off.

Hahaha TOB on my car wouldn't budge. Exedy twin is what I had and the TOB was basically seized on my tranny lol... Glad to see I'm not the only one

I have figured out a PERFECT EASY way to remove that DAMN TOB!

I too have had issues, getting that thing to budge off, So here is what i did
Use 11Gauge or thicker Bailing wire, Wrap it around Fork to the First hole where the Clutch slave gets bolted in, Use a nice pair of Cutter or Crimpers and twist that bailing wire up in a circle loop As tight as you can get it, so the CLutch fork goes towards the pressure plate all the way. Then Go under the car and Easily Pop The PLate and release the TOB. This is a much Easier way to do it Trust me. This makes it much easier then a prybar, or having a Weak friend help u. You can do the whole job alone now.
