I did some mods and rebuilt motor on the evoIX.So I had some doubts of which fluids should I use on the tranny,tcase and diff?Should I use oem on transfer and run with redline shockproof for tranny,redline for diff?

 

Transmission

Only use OEM Diaqueen for your transfer case and rear diff. Amsoil or Redline for your transmission. I know the Evo 8 transmission requires a GL-4 fluid, but I don't know about the Evo 9 transmission. Make sure you find out because most if not all GL-5 transmission fluids damage yellow metals (synchros).

AMSOIL for the tranny and engine oem oil for rear end and t-case!!!

 

I love redline in my tranny. OEM in the tcase and diff all day though.

Yep, anything but Diaqueen = death for diffs and transfercase. Plain old MT-90 works awesome for me in the tranny. Tried the fancy Motul stuff and it was notchy and miserable.
