Straight 30 weight conventional, new paper filter. 30min/50 mile, light load 0-3k rpm. Drain while warm, new filter, refill w new 30 weight or 10w30 if street break in. filter and oil change by 1500 miles, check dry and wet compression for good ring seal. If good, go to your usual oil and filter (syn/syn)

^Absolutely NO to the Semi-Syn.

For the initial start-up and next 1k, use only conventional oil or the Amsoil break-in fluid ONLY. Use good filters. Any conventional works, but go in favor of ones with high zddp contents. I used Castrol GTX (was on sale) for me first 20 minutes. Changed oil and filter again with Castrol GTX and drove car for 1k. In between that 1k, I changed the filter onces more and topped of with conventional. Once I hit the 1k mark, I change again. At this point, you can run Synthetic. I choose my third change on semi-syn, an full synthetic after that.

The AMSOIL is very good for the initial 1k mile break-in. I bought it and didn't use it cause I needed 20w50 for my build. If you're interest, shoot me a PM.

Also, keep an eye on oil pressures!!!

I now do Valvoline VR1 conventional 20w50 for my motor (can't find Penn locally)

Redline MT90 for the trans

Mitsu Diaqueen for transfer case and rear diff

Power steering OEM mitsu

Coolant I do mostly distilled water and a little bit of prestone longlife concentrated coolant.

Ive considered doing shockproof in my shep tcase, but I dunno I never had any concerns with just diaqueen in it.

Never use any synthetic oil for break in. Have to use mineral oil first 50-100miles drive easy. I changed my filter and oil to semi synthetic after 100miles, then fully synthetic 5w/40 and filter after 1k. After that regular service. After 8k miles later done a leak down test. All cylinders tested no imbalance, cold or when warm.
