oil question for 2.1

hi i have bought a built short block from map stage 2 and it will be in the car by next week so i was looking for oil recommendation

our weather in winters is 16c to 18c degrees, rarely sees 10 11. and in summers its 33c to 40c degree temps

i want to know what oil should i use for break in process for standstill start and 500kms running ?

and what grade oil would you suggest i was thinking of m1 5w50 any thoughts??

feedback is appreciated

a lot of shops recommend valvoline vr1 (the 20w50 for built motors with loose tolerances). its fairly cheap i dont know if its available over there.
i've ran m1 5w30 synthetic and love it but people hate it.
also ran pennzoil ultra synthetic, i like it as well but iuno... a lot dont like it

50 weight seems rather thick.

imo.

I use 20w50 AMSOIL ARO in a 4G64 block. I used that in the winter and it frequently goes below zero here and I had zero irregular wear in my head. I think that since the engine still reaches approx 100C more matter where in the world you are minimum that the 50 weight is better for a heavily beaten motor.
