Unhappy Mounting Oil Pressure Sender

How are you guys attaching you oil pressure sender?

1. via the bung on the block aboove the oil filer
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-senders.html

or

2. Using the oil filter sandwich adapter?

http://prosportgauges.com/oil-filter-adaptor-plate.aspx

If step 1 is the prefered way where do i get the 90 degree angle adapter? (step 7 in the instructions)

I use a variation of the first method and have my sensor mounted in a remote location. Having the sensor mounted on the motor wears them out.

I did mine differently and I believe it's the best way to do it.

I used a line from AMS in order to install my Defi oil pressure gauge. It allows you to mount the sensor away from vibration (which extends the sensors life) and keeps the sensor from breaking off.

Here's a link to the line:

Exactly. I zip tied it to the line that runs from the oil filter housing to the oil cooler, as seen here:

Your comment made my day

Haha, oil lines for everyone!

Yeah there are the oil lines going from the oil filter housing to the oil cooler, the FP oil feed line for my turbo and the oil line going to my oil pressure sensor.

is it necessary to drain the oil completely when installing sensors in the oil filter housing? or can you just go ahead and remove the access plugs without too much oil pouring out?

It's cleaner to do it while you doing an oil change.

I personally just got adapter fittings to put my sensors in the oil filter housing.

IIRC you lose about 300ml.
