The stainless steel braided clutch line was installed incorrectly/tighten extensively and after all the pressure it caused it to start leaking. Since our clutch line from master to slave is actually consisting of 2 lines. The fluid leak was actually at the center and not at the master or slave so I figured it was a second issue as it looked like it was coming from the transfercase!!!

Do not believe it is the clutch and replace something so PRICEY without all diagnostics done!!! thank god didnt buy an extra clutch for nothing!!!

In a word ..no the 2 systems are not connected . but i would chase that leak down once you are g2g. and stay on top of the fluids to ensure good levels at all times..the fact you got better for a bit and bled air means the clutch hydrualics are bad.

Replacement slave cylinders are $30 shipped from Rockauto including the banjo fitting. replace bleed and test. if it still is not good after some time but shows no leaks, then replace the master ...most likely an internal leak in that as well

My stock MR slave went at 30K and just like yours straight to the floor... I did have a leak that i found around the rubber cup on it. Dealer wanted 2 weeks and $120 for the part but seriously $30 Rockauto .......takes about 1 hour including bleeding...Use a friend or wife.

I use Brembo LCF600 in the brakes and the clutch is fed from that so i filled with that.

When the stock clutch had to be replaced at 76K, I re did everything in there, shafts seals rear main seal springs felt washers fork, new flywheel 6 spd clutch etc all brand new Mitsu. And I replaced the slave with another from Rockauto. I did not want to do something again in 15 K ..And just to be sure i have a clutch master on the bench in the garage. :-)

BTW just read about the leak on the joint in the line...Good find. and diagnostics I have the AMS 2 part kit but never installed it....prolly just put it up FS
