Question Do I need to get tuned?

I recently installed an Injen intake and upper intercooler piping and planning on putting an Invidia Tubular exhaust manifold and 02 housing on as well. What Im wondering is if I would need to get tuned after installing these parts or if Im good as I am now?

Safe? Yes, unless you're driving the guts out of it. But a tune even on a stock car would probably increase power & better gas mileage. I'd start saving up.

Ok thanks, the only problem I have now is finding a tuning shop in Missouri. I moved from Colorado Springs and knew of a few places in Denver like Tobz. Ill have to do a little research and see what shops are around here. Thanks for the input!

yeah a tune will bring out loads of power! if you dont have anyone local to tune youre car, just buy all the software and the tactrix cable and hit up Tom at Tscompusa. there are tons of people on here that have been E-tuned by TOM @ tscomp and their tunes came out fantastic.
i know this isnt the smartest thing to do, but i've been rolling around for months now untuned and im fine

mod list:
ets intake w/ hks filter
ets short route piping
ams 4in race intercooler
GFB bov
evo 9 turbo @20 lbs of boost
map long runner manifold
map o2 housing w/ dump
megan 3in dp and test pipe
80mm greddy full TI catback
DW 320 lph fuel pump
spark tech COP
compition clutch 6-puck clutch and lightweight flywheel.

im may pick up some bigger injectors and a new FP black from a guy locally soon, then ill be forced to get tuned lol

I talked to Speed & Sound up in S. Louis and they recommended getting the COBB AP, but they dont make those anymore. So I would need to purchase a used one. I would like to gt a custom tune on my Stock ECU because the map I have on it now is locked. I tried getting my RPM adjusted to 6000rpm instead of 5000rpm. Ill be headed down towards the Atlanta area in about a month maybe ill look for a tuner around that area, since Missouri doesnt really have any reputable shops that I know of.

Stock ECU is unlocked easily by any reputable tuner. Don't waste your money on that Cobb paperweight

I will be in the Atlanta area for a couple months and looked around and found bATLground Motorsports. Im waiting on a response back from them about getting a tune done so I hopefully I can get something going with them and if not Forged Performance is close by as well. Thanks for everyones input and advice it is greatly appreciated.

And to gsrboi80, yeah I agree with you on the COBB AP as soon as they told me(the shop i contacted) they can tune me with an AP it kinda made me think that I could just get the AP and tune it myself if thats all they were going to do.
