Oil pump??
Oil pump??
Finishing up my car and about to put the timing belt on and time the car. I put in oil and then remove the HLA regulator and spin the oil pump gear with my impavt driver and a 14mm socket. I kept the speed on low and it spins freely but to my surprise every few rotations the impact kicks in. This is at a slow speed. I bled the system and hoked the turbo feed line back up then put the HLA regulator nack on.
So before I go to start it up, would this alarm anyone?
I was expecting it to spin freely without any significant drag. I know the oil is thick, Brad Penn 20/50, and it was about 45 degrees out put does anyone else think this is strange?
