Output shaft put in wrong side

I have an 04 RS, a rebuilt TC from shep with a wavetrac LSD. I took the TC out of the car 5 months ago and was working on putting it back in today. Turns out I put the drivers side output(long one) shaft into the passenger side of the TC. I have been unable to remove it even with a slide hammer. Is there something on the output shaft preventing me from doing so or are the output shafts identical other than length? Are there any tricks with the slide hammer? there is a tiny bit of play with the output shaft going in and out.

If it makes you feel any better, mine were backwards like that when I purchased my evo! And I didn't find out until the "ebay" clutch disk that had been previously installed took a crap...

I do not think it would be possible to reassemble the car the way these are, they are switched not backwards.

Still will not come out. is it possible the ring snapped inside and jammed it? The TC is out of the car and we tried it while holding the TC at different angles also.

Hammered it with a slid hammer for a good half an hour and nothing. Can I hit it with an extension from the other side?

I had mine stuck in my old Tcase, Issue with hitting it from the other side is there is a Center pin right down the center so you need something that would fit inbetween that and the Front diff.

Shipped it back to chep to take it apart, I was worried about damaging the LSD.
