overfilled tcase

I believed I overfilled my tcase over the weekend. Now I see it leaked on the floor and spread around the exhaust hanger area next to the CAT. My question is, is it still ok for me to drive home? what should i do when i get home?

Thanks

By how much did you overfill? As mentioned, overfilled is better than underfilled, but an excessive amount may not be good either. If in doubt, take off the fill plug and let it drain from there until nothing comes out. When there's nothing coming out of the drain plug, you'll be at the proper fill level.

pump about 1 quart in through the drain plug, but i forgot to open the fill plug to drain it out. LOL. I just went jack up the car and having the fluid drain out the fill plug. Hopefully, it doesn't leak again.

Service manual calls for .63 qts, so yea I'd say that's too much. Let it drain out from the fill plug.

So, did the oil come out of the vent? If not you have a leak.
