Weird high RPM shifting issue, feels like gearbox is moving?

If I take off harder then usual (not launching or anything, maybe slipping the clutch a minuscule amount) and try to shift to 2nd or 3rd, it's like the gear isn't there. It almost feels like the clutch pedal falls through more than usual and that the gearbox has moved causing the selector to have more throw? I can get it into the gear but I have to kind of hold it in the empty part and then it drops in, at the same time I can feel the clutch fall through and when I let go of it there is a very brief slip between the gear change.

I've checked the engine mounts and they seem fine.

The problem started with my old CC 5152-2100 clutch, but after it wore out and I changed it to a new clutch the problem seems to remain.

Could this have something to do with the clutch master/slave cylinders or air in the line? Keep in mind that the issue is intermittent and shifting feels good 90% of the time, when there is a harder take off its almost like the engine/gearbox are moving, stopping me from putting it into gear properly?

For what its worth, I have a Blox front engine mount and shifter side bushings but I don't see how that can cause a problem.

Gearbox is a 5 speed USDM 9RS box. I have tried adjusting the clutch to move the pedal higher, this has improved the issue but hasn't resolved it.

It seems like the clutch is definitely not engaging/disengaging properly when this happens, causing the gear lockout and slip after the shift.

I've adjusted the clutch pedal so that it is higher.

This seems to have resolved the 2nd gear issue and has almost resolved the 3rd gear one.

I'll see if I can get it to go higher, this might solve the problem.

This is a fantastic read. I've found this issue in many other cars beside the Evo and truth be told many transmission problems have been realized as clutch problems.
