Quick Mivec to non Mivec swap

Hey guys, i been searching i found plenty of how to swap TO a mivec from a non mivec motor.

I have a evo 8 MR non mivec, Now im trying to see what is most cost effective for me, Im planning to buy a long block, but the long block is a mivec evo 9, Mine is evo 8 NON mivec.

Which would be the best way to convert this ? i been searching and my head is killing me, anyone have links or anything please send it my way....... in all truth i would love to stay non mivec. im thinking i would need the evo 8 head and use a evo 9 bottom. i honestly have no clue.... but someone please chime in

and yes i did search, couldnt find anything solid

as long as you have an evo 8 ecu with a non mivec head, it will work. mivec head with an evo 9 ecu. im pretty sure just the head + ecu can be switched around and be whatever you desire. (im no guru on doing this kinda thing, but maybe this can point you in the right direction)

For the block you need to reduce the size of the oil feed for the oil pressure sending unit. The hole is larger on a 9 block for the mivec feed.

You could just plug it and take the reading down on the oil filter housing. Or find if someone makes a reducer.
