Question Over-filled oil

Whooo, it's been a while since I've been on EvoM!
Two things:

1. So after changing my oil today I thought I had measured out 4.7 qts pretty well. Wouldn't you know it, the oil indication reads at most 1/8" above the max line. Did I just screw myself into buying 5 more qts to do it again, or am I okay til the next change at 3000 miles of DD? I suppose I could stick a hose down there and siphon the extra out

120k miles, stock motor and NO mods.
Put in my usual Castrol (Extra) Syntec 0W-30 European Formula with the oem filter.

2. On a separate note, I got a real steal at my Autozone on 5qts plus a FRAM TG filter. It was about $32 altogether! Are these filters any good for daily driving, stock motor?

All you have to do is unscrew the filter and drain what is in it out. That should bring you within the two marks. More than likely it wont blow up from being overfull but Ive always tried to be within the marks.

Fram is a junk filter period. You can do alot of researching and they cut these filters apart. The best filter you can buy at your local part store/walmart is purolator. The purolator had awesome results and you couldnt beat it for the money.

It's 4.7 when you change the oil filter.

An eight of an inch isn't much, I wouldn't worry about it.

Careful here their orange line is "junk" though many of car has gone 200k using them.

Their X2/extended/extreme gaurd filter however is very good
