Rev hang, idle issues, knocking and all that fun
So I put a ported intake manifold and 65mm throttle body on my car last weekend, car ran like crap, roll into a couple pounds of boost and it knocks, rev hang, high idle, awesome. So all during the week I try and troubleshoot the issues, I dial the tps 100% with evo scan, that works, I use SAS mode actuator to try and dial in idle and that was fine till I left SAS mode and the car went back up to idling at 2000 rpm, even with the BISS turned all the way in. So I'm like okay the throttle body is crap, fast forward to today, I swap my old tb in dial back in tps and start it up, boom idle issue gone, take it for a test drive and roll into a couple lbs of boost and it starts knock, uh what? Also it's rev hanging when I put it in neutral and overall acting peculiar. Pertinent information to share, during my ported intake manifold install I deleted the egr, fpr, and evap solenoids, the tune currently never looks at them and does not throw any codes related to them, I don't think this is the issue. I have boost leak tested it with both throttle bodies, no leaks at 35 lbs. I'll add information as I think of it and any help is greatly appreciated.

Update, replaced the gasket in the idle stepper and all self rev/rev hang issues appear to be gone, car is still knocking when I roll into boost, this may be a tuning issue since I did keep on the ported intake, which flows more air so it may be causing a lean spot in my tune, I will have to get a log and rule that put.

You might have bumped the knock sensor when installing parts. Read this from FireRoasted: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/en...ck-sensor.html

I think you may have figured out my problem friend, when I change my intake I took the bracket off that holds the wire harness that goes to....you guessed it, the knock sensor, so now I'm going to go bolt the bracket back in and lay the wires back in place and see if that fixes my issue, I'll report back.
