why don't you use a weighted ball in a cage. that way when the exhaust it not flowing the ball seals it, but when the exhaust is dumping, the force lifts it up and expels it. no flapper door, and would look cool lol

Was thinking the same thing when Collin was fabbing up my kit. The exhaust exits so violently I would just be afraid of the hinge mechanism failing one day and projectile time lol
