Oil from bov or somewhere else ?
Oil from bov or somewhere else ?
Once mayb every 200 miles or more I get the smell of burning oil, this mornin the second I could smell it I stopped but it usually happens after a left turn. When I looked under the good it was a perfect puddle of oil on the heat shield for the headers. No sign of it splashing from being under pressure. Iv been trying to catch this for days but I can find where it's coming from. Any ideas ?
From your title, you must know nothing of cars if you think oil could possibly come from the bov.
Now to give you a little advice on where oil is coming from, make sure the valve cover gasket isnt leaking. You can also get a special dye to add to your oil which glows under a special light. Valvecover gasket is my bet since its really the only thing above the manifold.

Ya it can come bov I had a twin turbo z that blow by came out of my bov and sprayed all over the place cuz of bad seals. But Im just goin to assume its coming from the crankcase filter hard to make it that far without making a mess but and a good corner I guess it can. Guess I'm gunna invest in a catch can.
I know what bov is lol. That's what I'm trying to figure out if blow by came through there but there's no sign ov oil coming from anywhere it's just a prefect little puddle on the heat shield. But if it came from the bov from blow by I would think it would of sprayed everywhere unless under an extremely light load. Honestly I just think its from the filter ill get a catch can and see if its fixes the prob. Thanks.
