I get my stuff done by Performance Coatings in Auburn, WA and they tell me to give the hot bits a few heat cycles before I get it coated. It probably depends on who is coating your junk though and what they're using. Just sharing info! Can't wait to see some results.

^^^ Gotta cook out any oils...

I beleive some places acid treat the part in their process and any residual oils are removed without the need to run the part on car first.
