Also take note of the hotside on that turbo. OEM twin-scroll with integrated TiAL wastegate flange. Similar to their bolt-on DSM hotside.

When on the phone, I was told it is a 'prototype'. If it fixes the restrictive hotside for my FPBlack, it may be worth going this direction instead of converting to a full on T3 or T4 kit.

That's a great way to look stealthy! I like it. Might get me one if numbers produced are close to flowing like most good tube manifolds.

I really want to see this tested against a good stock ported exhaust manifold!

DBB turbos do not need fed from the oil filter housing.

I bought one but would not be surprised if it slows spool by 100-150rpm in exchange for 10-15hp up top. that would be typical effect of lowering back pressure before turbo.

If it lowers back pressure due to reducing turbulence wouldn't that net more energy at the turbine wheel and allow it to spool faster and make more power because flow is more controlled. I do believe if it was just bigger runners so there was more volume you would see the later spool. A better design with same sized runners shouldn't lose anywhere. The stock manifold is nice but the geometry doesn't look so hot but then again the runners are paired on opposite strokes so there may not be too much of an issue. I am super interested because I am thinking of backing down to a stock frame with this manifold. My 6262 is not laggy if at the correct rpm that lazy more shift mid range is gone. It is easier to drive on the highway with boosting a the time like stock turbo on my 2.4. I gotta find a happy medium! Hahaha.

Wondering if there would be noticeable gains over my ported Curt Brown stocker? Does anyone know how long we have to pre-order at this $299 price?

the stock manifold is not a poor design by any means. and while sellers like to post back to back graphs on gains from porting I would call those snake oil sales. there is very little if any gains from porting the stock manifold.

this fp manifold is going to have larger runners than stock. so this will be like ordering a tubular manifold in larger 1.75 runners as opposed to the standard 1.5 runners. the 1.5 runners spool faster. the 1.75 runners make more top end power.

the early 4g63 fp manifold is known to slow spool for modest gains up top. I dont think this manifold will be any different. this is all bench racing. maybe we should wait for results??

glad to see this out - i'm sure that will work at least as well as other options out there.

I saw maps manifold test porting was only worth 5 whp

Friend ended up buying a long runner because of it.l he said 35-40 whp but I don't trust most vendors on here......numbers can always be played with

How do you all think this is going to perform VS Buschur's stock ported and ceramic coted stock manis?

Why would you choose this over a tubular replacement manifold?

I'm using a JMfab tubular stock replacement manifold. Would there be any reason I'd want this other than faster spool?
