Yes post some pictures so we can see what they're talking about. I have an ACT monolock on mine after my stock tob clip feel into pieces. Haven't had a single issue. It's only $65 at STM it's great piece of mind.

I'm just confused about how I can install it if the snap ring is "built in" like Spec says it is. Could I just pop the new one in or how does that work?

Spec is blowing smoke. Look up MonoLoc on act website.

i just checked out the Monoloc ring, it seems legit. If it would snap into the Spec flywheel i would do that. The shop where my car is at is calling Spec tomorrow so I'll let you guys know what they say. And i should be able to post those pictures tomorrow also.

I made a mistake, I meant to say Spec says the snap ring is built into the pressure plate, not the flywheel. Got that mixed up.

No need to call spec. MonoLoc will work. They will tell you not to use it.

I want my money back. And I want them to cover labor for their mistake. Why would I have to pay out of pocket on a defective part for labor?

Pictures

As soon as we pulled the tranny, all the pieces just fell out and this is what it looked like. Talk about cheap junk parts.
