Spec Clutch SERIOUS ISSUES *UPDATED WITH PICS*

Well, after $1100 later, two weeks of waiting on parts, 3 days after my car was fixed I'm right back where I started with ANOTHER broken clutch.
I was driving my car about two weeks ago. I shifted from first to second and the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. I pulled it back up and it was like pushing against a brick. It was stuck. Took it to the shop and come to find out, the snap ring that holds the throw out beating in place broke in half. (KEEP IN MIND THIS CLUTCH HAS LESS THAN 800 MILES ON IT). I called spec and they said I'd need to order a new flywheel because the ring is "built into the flywheel itself". $400 and a week later I finally get the flywheel. Shop installed everything including the TOB spec provided.
3 days later I'm driving the car and the exact same thing happened again! What I want to know, is Specs products really that bad or what's the deal here? I've got the stage 2 kit. I'm making around 400 awhp and 375 awtq. I'm very disappointed with the kit so far, obviously. I think Spec should be responsible for replacing the broken parts and paying for labor. What do y'all think?

All I can say is I'm very unhappy with their parts and they need to replace what they messed up. Two times in less than a week of driving is pretty bad.

The ring is built into the pressure plate. The fix to the snap ring problem is called ACT MonoLoc. It can't break like a stock one can. I also don't believe you needed a new one to start with. The MonoLoc replaces the clip in any stock style clutch. It could have been installed incorrectly by the shop. It is tough sometimes to line up the input shaft to the clutch without hitting and possibly damaging the stock clip. The MonoLoc is much more durable to that damage as well.

I also thought the same thing but Spec said they "build each part to order", and that the only way for me to get the snap ring would be to get a new flywheel. Which is bs because if they build each part to order, why couldn't they just send me a new snap ring. Also the TOB popped into place too easily is what my mechanic said. It should have a tighter fit.
I honestly just think Spec screwed me over. I just want my money back for the broken parts so I can go ahead and order a new kit. I'll never deal with Spec again after this.

They are not going to give you a thing. I would just either order a MonoLoc and move on or Gervais new kit but waiting on special is a losing proposal. They think you messed it up which is easy to-do so they won't do a thing.

What exactly does the MonoLoc and Gervias kit do? I've never really heard of those.

I don't know what Gervais is my phone auto correct that. I meant order a new kit. MonoLoc is a clip that can't pop out and get broken from install. I have one on my act HDSS and will put it on any clutch in any EVO forever.

I would definitely do that, BUT I called spec and apparently they build the snap ring into the flywheel. So I don't know how I could get the monolock deal to work. This sucks. I'm just tired of their BS. If I could offer anyone advice, do not buy anything Spec related, unless you like their stickers, because that's the only quality part they make.
