Switch from Neutral to first without engaging clutch?
Switch from Neutral to first without engaging clutch?
Today I noticed that I could put my car into first gear without stepping on the clutch while the car was parked. I was concerned so I drove around parking lot and tried the same thing again but this time the stick didn't move. My car works fine and I don't have any gear grind when shifting gears.
Has this problem occured on anyones car?

no the car didn't stall and strange thing is that normally in first gear the car will jump if the breaks are not applied. I will check my car again tonight after work. My car was in nuetral while the engine was on since I don't have turbo timer. I simply moved the shift knob into first without stalling the car

yep. The ONLY way that first gear can engage without pressing the clutch is if the disc is worn down. The stock Evo clutch has small limiter studs on the pressure plate that will let the clutch disc spin free when it is worn beyond the limits.
