Magnaflow #14835 5"x8" muffler

Has anyone used this muffler?

I have a Buschur 3" catless turboback and I'm sick of the noise and appearance of their stock muffler. I was hoping for some opinions on this unit. Thanks.

The magnaflow will not be as loud as the buschur. They are nice mufflers, I used one on my RSX. If you want to hear one, check out the vishnu tuning site. Their signature series uses that same muffler.

I think that muffler is one of the options from Buschur when you get their stages. I will be heading up soon to have them install a complete Stage 4 package and I added the magnaflow for like $20.

It won't reduce power, but it won't be *much* quieter eitheir. You might want to run some resonators.

Ummm, that's NOT the muffler I got from Buschur. I too, got the magnaflow, and it's way different than what's in the pic. Mine is totally round, not that ob-long, oval shape. Just thought I'd share...

I know. I'm just hoping to lower the tone a bit because the Buschur unit is way too raspy and high-pitched. It's also ugly as sin.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like the piece used by Vishnu. I'm happy with it. It looks nice too. It gives a deep rumble sound. I am running a cat however, so I don't know how it would sound catless.

that muffler is badass. it's the same one thermal uses on the 3" turbo exhausts, it's the one I run, it's the one my partner hill runs, and it's the one we used on a custom mazdaspeed protege turbo 3" system we built for a customer.

GET IT!?#@!?$#?@$?@

Ugly as sin?! It is made completely of 304 SS and is simply round. You shouldn't even be able to see it unless you look under the car.

A word of warning to you all. The Magnaflow mufflers that everyone wanted and that we now supply are NOT made of the same material our custom mufflers are. I know what it says on the box (304 SS) but there is something that is bull**** about it. The Magnaflows that we have seen come back through here that have seen any northern weather are all fairly rusted on the ends and in the weld seems.

Food for thought.

Sorry, David. The muffler just doesn't look as perty as some of the polished units out there. I have the JDM turboback so the muffler can be seen very easily.
