Tensioner pulley...same part??

So I ordered a new tensioner pulley, same part number as OEM (MD369999), same manufacturer, but there's an engraving on the actual pulley that's different. The stock pulley says PU106018J and the one I bought says PU106018F.

Has anybody run across this before and, if so, is it safe to run the different pulley? The new pulley does not have a flare on the inside of it and it is slightly WIDER in size. The diameter is the exact same as stock and the hole for the bolt and the holes for the tensioner tool match up fine. I don't want to install this thing and run into issues later on.

Thanks in advance!!

PS: If anybody is wondering why my stock pulley is bent like that, don't go to a shop that deems it smart to tension your pulley with a freaking pry bar

Not really sure what that's telling me

The engraving on that one is the same but the part number is different.

You will be fine. I wouldn't worry much about it. The tension on the belt will keep it from moving around.

I wouldn't run it personally until you verify you have a correct part and it wasn't packaged in the wrong box accidentaly. The other one not only doesn't have that lip on the back, but also looks like a different diameter from the way the pics look.

I just replaced my tensioner pulley, heres a pic. looks just like your old one.

I see that the Mitsubishi 2000 quad cam uses the wide pulley. Will it work on an Evo? I haven't tried it.

Any more advice? Thanks for the help guys...I just talked to the vendor today and he used my VIN and said that the computer is telling him that it's the correct part but I can still get a refund.

Anybody else that has experienced this before??
