Hallman MBC owners...put in your heavy spring!!

Well like many of you I have a Hallman MBC on my EVO with the light spring installed because it worked just fine.....boost would go to 20psi but then drop about 2 psi and in 1st gear boost would max out at about 14psi. Well I installed the heavy spring last night and my boost holds rock solid at 20psi with no tapper and in 1st gear boost rockets up too 20psi faster than in ever did before......now my car feels right!!! I hope this helps some of you all!! Peace

Awesome...I was hoping to hear this...installing mine this weekend, and thought that the heavy one was the one to put in...thanks for the confirmation! Do you have the one that has the remote knob for the cockpit?

It's $180 with the remote knob adjuster.

Secondly, SCOTT - where did you put the knob? we're limited with the knob adjustor cable, where did you install the boost controller in the engine bay? Any pics?

At work right now so I do not have any pics but I actually hid the controller behind the drivers side headlight....there is a little lip that the controller hides nicely underneath. Then I ran the remote knob into the car by the gas peddle and then routed it to where the hood release latch is. I did not want anyone to know that it was installed. I will take some pics in a few minutes I forgot I had a digi cam at work....hold on

I installed my Hallman MBC a couple weeks ago and have been running on the light spring and have also noticed a boost taper. What does it involve in switching out the springs? Do you just unscrew the boost controller?

Thanks

How long is the remote cable for the Hallman? I've been thinking about upgrading mine.
