1400 USD turbo option

Hey. I am not sure which turbo would be the best for DD Evo for max 1400 USD. In first I was thinking about Kinugawa 25G/Arashi but i'm affraid of reliable and spool. Now I am considering Tomei Arms - this is good product with great spool, but max numbers are not impressive. My engine is stock. I have only cams, intake, 3'' exhaust and walbro 255 fp.

Thanks!

Go with the ef line from Map instead of buying a used and beat JB turbo. I went with an ef2.5 for my daily and I love it. Pulls to red line, quick spool and is still cracking mid 400s on pump gas.

An ef2 is a few dollars outside your price range but in my opinion it will be worth it over the other ones you mentioned.

I think thats a great turbo for the price even if its a little more than the op wanted to spend. All reviews I have seen about this turbo have all been positive .

If you can hold out until Black Friday my guess is the MAP turbos will go on sale and you can probably get the EF2 or EF2.5 for about $1400. You could also go for the FP HTA71. I believe that one runs about $1400 and if you wait until Black Friday, you could probably get it even cheaper.

So You guys sayin that EF2 will give me similar spool and more top end power compared to Tomei? I cannot find any reviews about Ef2. There's lot opinions about EF3 but it's not my budget.

Thanks!

I've heard that hta71 is not much better than stock 9 turbo. I am not sure what means "not much". It can give +20, 30 or how much more hp than stock 9?
