Doing clutch on my 05 SSL - Trans. Filter?
Hey doods -
So going through 'the' clutch install writeup, he mentions something about replacing a walbro filter in the transmission?
"14. Digging in to the Walbro install kit, grab the new pump filter and the small retaining ring and install the filter onto the Walbro pump. Set the filter in place and push the retaining ring on as best as you can (just so the ring doesn't fall off). Place a 5.5mm or equivalent socket over the retaining ring and gently tap it on until it sits flat against the filter housing."
For some reason i cant find any other info on this...
There's a filter for the oil in the transmission?
Can anyone shed some light?

There is a trans oil filter. Heres a how to: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35444. Afaik walbro only makes Air and Fuel filters.
Good luck
Good luck
There is no pump in a std trans. So there is no filter or any place to put a filter as there is no circulation other than sloshing of the gears to lube the trans. Either you mis-read it or your info is beyond incorrect. You are talking about the '05 ssl right and not a X? Good Luck.
