Buschur 3" TB question

I was looking at the downpipe where it bolts up to the O2 housing It seems that you aren't able to retain the stock bolt and spring combo. What do I use??? Size??? Length???

Just to let you all know I bought it used from another member, and no hardware was included.

I was going to see if the stock doughnut gasket can be used or just a regular 3" flange gasket, what do you all think?

My Buschur 3" downpipe came with 10x1.25 bolts with lock washers, at least that's what the Buschur instructions said. I don't know the length of the bolts; the instructions only gave diameter and thread pitch. If nobody gives you an answer, I could go measure it for you, but I'd have to put the car up on ramps to do that.

The instructions also stated:

Our downpipe design requires no gasket as the lip on the O2 housing protrudes into our downpipe flange and seals the system.
The stock donut gasket cannot be used; the downpipe won't fit at all.

Also note that Buschur supplied me with bushings and new bolts to lower the lower tie bar by perhaps 1/4 inch. The consensus seems to be that the downpipe will fit without the bushings, but it may rattle against the tie bar. The new bolts used for the tie bar are the same size as the bolts used to mount the downpipe to the O2 housing.

I hope that helps.

I have the instructions in my hand now.
What you should have with the 3" DP is:

(5) 10x1.25 bolts
(5) 10mm lockwashers
(1) 5/16"x2" bolt with nuts and washers if the catback was also purchased
(3) stainless steel bushings
(2) 8x1.25 nuts

Well heres what happened.

First of all I was taking the downpipe off and one of the bolts seemed like it was coming out very hard(i did use wd-40) and the bolt finally came out. What must have happened when they were assembling the car they used a bad bolt which caused the O2 housing to strip out . But luckily enough it was just the first 2-3 threads, I cleaned out the threads with a tap and the new bolt held just fine

The rest of the install went perfect, and everything fits excellent. When I finally started the car I was like "Holy!!!!!!" That thing is loud. Took it around the block a few times and on the upper RPM band under load the thing screams, scared some of my neighbors with a few high RPM passes! So the guy who lives next door (big american gear head) walks over when we were cleaning up and asks about the car so I told him a few things about it and he seemed really interested, so I took him for a ride and I think I converted him. I know he has a 69 Z28 in his garage that is in near mint condition, maybe during the summer I catch up to him on the road???

I also used the kartboy hangers, keeps the exhaust in place nice quality product. The only hanger you dont need for this exhaust is the one right behind the pass rear wheel.

Well thats it for now folks, another satisfied Buschur parts owner

Nope no gasket here either. Thank god jbrennen replied when he did or I would probably still be in the garage wondering how it doesn't fit. When I first read that, I really didn't believe it, but when I did start the car up for the first time I was sitting under there just waiting for it to start leaking, got bored with that a went for a drive.
