sounds like an exhaust leak. start by taking off the manifold heat shield and look around the turbo housing and all associated connections and check for tightness of all asso bolts. be careful and be sure to use some kind of liquid wrench to be sure you dont snap of any bolt heads.

Curious, did you check all the rockers and rotate the motor by hand after the install. I ask as I have seen rockers get spit out after installation on rotation. If it spit one out, that could account for the noise. Just pull the cover and looked everything over. You did get the timing belt back in line and on the sprockets as they came off when you did the lifters?

How much has it run since new lifters? They take a while to quiet down. However, to me, the knock is too fast to be valve related.

were the lifters bled before you installed them, or were they just installed straight from the box? And a trick you could use to pinpoint the location of the noise is to get a length of vacuum hose and put one end in your ear and then poke the other end the engine till you find the noise, this may help narrow down the possible causes. Does the same thing as a stethoscope so if you have one of those it may work better.

I changed the lifters from 2 days ago and i bleed them before installing, i removed the valve cover again yesterday to check the rocker arms and everything were ok. I changed the lifters without removing the timing belt.
