Evo 8 rattle noise? or lifter noise? Help!!

Hey everyone,

I need a bit of help pinpointing where this noise is coming from. Not too sure if it may be an exhaust leak, lifter noise, piston slap, or perhaps something just loose. A bit of background information. The car has a built 2.0 with Wiseco pistons, Oliver Billet I-beams, and GSC S2 Cams. It's a fresh built 2.0 with only 150 miles on it! Any tips, help, or advice is greatly appreciated!!

Also the noise seems to go away when I give it a bit of gas

not constant.. bump for help! the noise goes away when I gave it gas

I would at least open up the valve cover and look it over.

Sounds top end. Would def pull valve cover to inspect. Did you reuse lifters or are they new? Did you properly bleed them when reinstalled after build?
