L19s... Do you re torque after heat cycle?

I think I might of lifted my head. I have 2k miles on a new build with brand new arp l19s. I ran car 3 different times on 34+ psi and the last time lifteing the head I'm pretty sure. Do these head studs require being re torqued after track runs or a lot if boost after install???

I didn't re-torque mine. Mine are torqued to 105 ft/lbs. I'm also aiming for high 40 psi in the future.

Furthermore, I feel that re-torquing headstuds ruins the seal that is already on the head gasket.

I heard now from a few ppl that they should be re-torqued after a lot of boost and a break in heat cycle. im going to call arp direct today and see what they have to say

I retorqued the MAP H11 headstuds after a few days of running. Let the car cool overnight and using the OEM torque sequence I backed off the nut ~1/4 turn and then retorqued before moving to the next in sequence. I did notice a few nuts accepted more movement to reach full torque.

I did my l19s after a drive and heat cycle. Torqued to 105. I did notice that there was a difference in a few of the nuts. Let it cool to room temperature.

Always re-torque them. Especially if you are running 35lbs+ of boost.

I torqued mine to 115 as Buschur recommended. I checked them after a bit of driving and heat cycles and non of them moved at all.

Can never hurt to check.

Some do, some don't really. If you'd like that reassurance then by all means, it definitely wouldn't hurt. I didn't re-torque mine and I'm doing fine. To each their own.

I don't agree that you must loosen and retorque them, but definitely check them...
