SICKSPEED lower engine mount Review
SICKSPEED lower engine mount Review
Okay so first off not sure if I'm posting this in the right section or not but I hope so anyways.
So I've been doing some handling and driveability mods for my 06 MR and was on the hunt for a lower engine mount. VOILA! I found one that seemed to look like a very nice quality. It was on eBay of all places lol its the SICKSPEED engine mount
To be honest I was a little weary of the price since most of the lower engine mounts are twice the price such as Blox. But after getting this mount installed I can say that it's price is way under what it could be for $39.99 you would think with this kind of quality you would be paying around $80 or more!
So here are my thoughts of the engine mount:
1. Price is fantastic!
2. Ease of install if you're familiar with your car.
3. Overall performance of this product.
Now about the performance it does add some slight vibration to the car nothing major that no one couldn't get use to. Exhaust tone sounds slightly different from before. Lastly the car shifts smoother than it did before haven't had much time behind the wheel since the install just to my post office and back(stupid snow). But I can definitely tell a difference.
Thanks for reading

The bushing. I was looking at this awhile ago, but couldn't find the rating. I think Torque Solutions is around 75A, AMS has a 70A rating and it goes up from there for aftermarket mounts.

Well got to drive a bit more today since the snow melted. The shifting firmness is quite a change from the regular mount (normal shifting not wot)

how has this held up? i know it probably hasn't fallen apart.
I'm considering picking one up.
just can't find the durometer rating anywhere, although it looks exactly like the Blox one.
could it be possible Blox just uses this one and places their sticker on it? :/ hmm

Received the mount. Kinda iffy. The bushing feels soft to me. I've had solid mounts custom made and those bushings wouldn't flex.
I'll let the pics do the explaining.
I had a solid mount made for my timing side when I was installing a g64 into my Mirage. I may just use the bushings from that, as it seems this one is rubber.
I will go ahead and install it this weekend as is to see if it feels different driving, and switch out bushings If it still feels too soft.
This seems to be a good mount for someone looking for something better that oem but that won't rattle your car like crazy.
Over all first impression, not bad for 40 dollars. But not what I was expecting.
I'll update once it's on.

Any update on this? Ordered one of these today. Waiting to install. How would you say this compares to stock? I had a rrm poly front mount for about a year, but it tore apart and I'm back to wheel hop in 1st. Hoping this at least holds up comparable to a stock evo front mount
Hey, I never got around to installing it,
I ordered Powerflex 80a inserts.
The person I sold it to, was very happy. They said that they noticed more vibration, but the car was definitely more responsive.
Like I said, can't beat the price.
