Wow, that's a really high compression ratio. You had to be on low boost correct? We need to go out for a beer Curt and chat :-)

my new setup is a 2.4 10:1 comp with a buschur stage 3 head with kelford 280 cams. using a fp 3586 and aem water/meth. shooting for 600-650 on pump

The meth kinda voids the pump part of that plan though.

What I'm getting from this thread is tons of hope that the 3586 is more than enough for the people that want a big number true pump car. Thanks JB and Curt for posting!

That was 31psi tuned by Nate, picked up 161whp on E85 to 811

Wow, that's impressive. So compression ratio doesn't have that great of an affect? Now you know why I was texting you about porting my head :-)

I think with the 2.4L you should be just fine, I had a 2.3L with a 6765 and I loved the power and came on quick all the way to 8500 rpm made 650-680 ish on pump 93 octane straight up.
