oil in compressor housing fp black dbb
its less to do with your turbo... and more to do with the effectiveness of your pcv system... it is something to worry about because the oil gets sucked into the intake track and lowers the octane rating of your fuel... if the build up is on the extreme side can easily cause hesitation and detonation...
I am using a STM VTA catch can with 4, -6AN lines and it still happens at idle. It isn't much but it still worries me but many people on here have noted similar things. I think I am going to add a line from one side of the valve cover to the air intake to create some suction. I don't think this will be a benefit but I am going to give it a shot. I am not really sure how this could happen with 4, -6AN lines, there can't really be enough pressure to push oil past the gas seals.
mine looked to be a bit less.......here is a pic. It is never really any more than that...

2 lines from valve cover, 1 from vented dipstick tube, and 1 from vent for balance shaft inspection hole.
I talked to FP and they swore that this happening at idle was because there wasn't any line going from a vent to the air intake to create "vacuum" and pull air out of the motor. I just don't see how adding that line will create enough air movement to help, maybe I could see it on a sealed system but not a VTA with 4, -6AN lines.....
I bought everything to make the 2 lines to the valve cover -10AN but I am leaning towards just adding the line from the VC to the air intake first.

I wonder if the oem oil return is big enough. I know we relocated our feed so maybe its not adequate to support pressure from oil filter location as opposed to the head which it was originally intended.
Same issue here with my BB Black, did it from day one. Orginally thought it was coming from the valve cover and running back down the intake pipe as I wasn't running a catch can but I've since installed a set of Saikou Michi cans and there is still an oily sheen in the turbo intake. I'm not too worried as it's not alot of oil, but I'd rather there was none at all.
