Just wondering if an evo 9 fuel sending unit (housing/fuel pump/gauge sending unit) will work in an evo 8 and vise versa. Alldata shows different part numbers for evo 8 and evo 9.

My fuel gauge sender (the one attached to fuel pump housing) stopped working in my 8, and I found an evo 9 complete assembly on here and was wondering if it will work.

They do look the same. I called a local mitsubishi dealer and they were of no help, and couldn't seem to find an answer on here.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
