Just looking to see what kind of maintenance a 2.3l striker motor requires.

As far as I know, I think every 5k or so you need to get the bearings and something else done?

If anybody has any first hand knowledge of what kind of routine maintenance it requires I would appreciate it!

In reality,maintenance should remain the same if the motor is a quality build upfront and you dont beat the crap out of it.

 

Depends on what you rev it to and what you're throwing at it

 

If its a street car then maintenance should remain the same. If its a track car maintenance will vary... but if your asking this question I doubt you'll be tracking the car to the point that it needs new rings and bearings every season.

 

my 2.3L lasted 16k miles, and the reason I rebuild is because of a melted ring landing...
