Heard they made lots of improvements but does this clutch now qualify for DD?
I daily mine. I it is still a race twin plate, don't try to fool yourself. It is very streetable. However I am used to a QM 6leg which was really intense. I am overall very pleased with mine.

It takes some getting used to for sure. You need a pedal stop. And people as saying the 2g slave mod helps a lot. I haven't tried it yet myself though. I preferred the exedy triple for DD purposes.

slight inclines are a pita to start on. you need to rev it up a little more which is not bad but not something you will be used to VS a reg clutch. also what clutch will you be coming from? if it is stock then its going to be a much different experience for you. once you get used to it it is not that bad. but it still is annoying on slight incline starts.
Which would you rather dd the qm 8 leg or the act full face hdss? I have the hdss sixpuck now and i can't bring myself to shift the car hard the way it shocks the drive train.

if your asking me i can not answer that. i never drove a car with that clutch. i will say the QM is proven though at holding power. so keep that in mind as well. rebuilds are cheap as well.

ITs a PITA to DD even with the mod. But its the best combo of price (on purchase and rebuild) and useability.
I've had more then one transmission guru tell me that triple plate clutches are harsher on transmissions for DD then twins. I love the ATS/Carbonetics triple for DD purposes. Best clutch ever.
