Exhaust options

I am aware there a million exhaust threads. I have searched and read and decided on the buschur bullet with extra magnaflow muffler and resonator. I have a built 2.4 with a 6466 and GSC R2s. The car was getting me a lot of unwanted attention from the Police here in CA. The car is still super loud (which I don't mind at all - but the cops do). I am hoping that there is some thread out there I haven't read or someone knows of a quieter exhaust option and can point me in the right direction for quieter exhaust. I am leaning toward the apexi noir. I understand that exhaust sound is extremely subjective so if you have an opinion let me know - or not and let the hate flow. Anyone have ideas on quiet exhaust for evo 8/9?

TL;DR built evo 9 gettin unwanted attention from cops - have buschur bullet with extra muffler and resonator - looking for quieter exhaust. Opinions please. Let the hate flow.

I have a 2.4 with the 6766 and s3 cams with the full race header. Even with a resonator, and Cobb exhaust with an extra magnaflow, its just loud and gets attention. Doesn't matter what quiet exhaust you put on, it will be loud due to the mods.

The only way to have a quiet exhaust is something like the Varex muffler. Just got mine today from Mike at MAPerformace.

Thanks for the shout out and the business!

rodent is right, there is only one way to quiet down your car, and that is restriction. The issue there is that you don't want that restriction all the time, as the excess back pressure robs power and slows spool substantially.

The only solution is a removable restriction, and as no one wants to get under the car every day, the only practical option is an electronic cutout, and the Varex mufflers are the best way to do that IMHO.

If anyone has any questions or would like a deal on one of these mufflers, feel free to shoot me a PM!

I have the tanabe medallion with a Mil.Spec 100 cell HFC and let me tell you it's still pretty damn loud. I don't get hassled with it but it wears on you after a while.

Wouldn't the Works Exhale muffler be restrictive for mods he is running compared to a 3" catback? Its the factory exhaust diameter at the inlet.

OP has an aftermarket turbo(not stock frame), so his exhaust will always be louder than any stock frame turbo set up.
