Actuator arm and creep issues
Actuator arm and creep issues
Hey everyone, I recently did away with my ebcs and added in a Hallman pro in its place to do my controlling. My buddy and I started out by setting the Hallman to 0 to start from there. BTW I am tuned for 22psi safely, on the stock turbo with most all other supporting mods. Anyways, first few pulls I was still hitting around 23lbs and creeping up from there at WOT. Slackened the actuator arm to the point that the flapper was loose and i'm sure most of you know that is no good(slow spool conditions).
SO
I call Forge, they send me the spring that is one step down from the one I have(had red, they sent me blue) hoping that with a little tension on the flapper and the Hallman starting out at 0 I would make about 18ish lbs on the lighter spring, and then of course build from there with the controller, up to my desired 22lbs. Now when I reach about 18/19 it slowly creeps up to 23lbs.
I've done my research, i've picked through other threads about this, and I educated myself on what causes boost creep. The thing is everything I read was kinda "it could be this...it could be that" so on and so forth. It could be that the stock small turbos "just creep" and oh well too bad. It could be something going on with my o2 housing. It could be that I need to port this or port that. It could be a line come'a loose somewhere. Not to mention most of the threads I picked through were from 2007 with dead ends lol.
I really made this to see if anyone can offer any advice or has had like symptoms, perhaps renew this topic and help others as well. If I missed a newer thread already about this topic, I apologize. To sum it all up, my goal is to be set around 18ish lbs on the wg, and build my way back up to 22 with the controller. Is this not possible with my setup?

Just curious, what would the difference be in using the stock wga over the forge that is on there now? Like how would that make a difference with creep? If that's the problem, i'll have to look online and see if I can find a stocker.
I have a folder full of receipts from the previous owner, and there is one from Buschur and on the list of parts the guy bought from there it says "fabricated SS o2 housing" so I can only assume Buschur made it.
