Need opinion on compression test results!

One week ago my IX started blowing the upper pipe off the throttle body on hard pulls.

I used hairspray and it stuck tight, however the car would now have a weird bucking sensation on full boost, almost like a 'bark'.

Fast-forward to today and now the car is blowing alot of oil smoke from the exhaust.

Did a compression test that returned, 130,130,130, 45.

Just looking for some insight, rings? head gasket?

Thanks,

- Philip

Uh yeah that 45 could be any one of the things you just mentioned. As far as ideas only a leak down will show what the culprit really is. Good luck man.

I had a buddy and his Evo had similar results to yours and it turned out to be a bad valve spring. That was an easy fix. It's not always the rings or a blow head gasket. Hope for the best.

Is the smoke all blue(oil)? Hows the coolant level/color?

I had the same issue and it was actually a cracked piston from a crappy tune. Regardless what the issue is I see you needing to have the head pulled unless its only the valve spring, which I don't know how they go bad unless it would break and let the valve hang which results in the same scenario so I would just do that for a proper inspection.

best advice here would be to pull the head and inspect cuz you know there is definitely a problem, if its not in the head then move on to the block could also be a crack ringland or piston 45 says it all motor is hurt hope all works out well .
