There's a map sensor on there, not sure what it does. I always assumed that was the fuel temp sensor. I would like to know what that sensor is for too plz.

What does the line going from the passenger side of the fuel tank to the fuel pump do?
Thanks

It siphons fuel between the two sides of the tank.

How does it siphon the fuel from the other tank?
I'm a bit confused.

Its a jet pump. Works like any jet pump, no moving parts.

the one tank you have has like 2 sections.. both sides of the drive shaft..

the line going from passenger side over til right side is to pump the fuel from one to other side.
and how it does that is with the fuel return line, it makes some type of vacuum in a T- connector where the pump is.. and that sucks it...kind of..

but what the damn sensor is for i dont know..
for me it looks like sensor on the driver side is for Half tanke to empty , and the passenger side from Full tank to half sensor..

Reason I am asking. I will be doing a surge tank setup. I will have the oem fuel pump sending assembly send fuel to the surge tank and from the surge tank trough the oem return nipple. I wanted to return it trough the line that siphons from the other side. A bit confusing.

is you want to make a SURGE tank, you need to use the oem tank with its pump TO a surge tank in the back of your car, and the 1 or 2 pumps sending to fuel rail. the return line should then go to surge tank. and a overflow line back to oem tank. and that overflow line must go with the line on passenger side.. haha.. did you get it?

I have it all figured out. Just was confused on how the fuel tank worked with all the siphoning stuff. Ima have a oem intank pump feed the surge tank and have it return to the oem return on the fuel sending unit. Then from the tank. Have a -12 trough a 60-100 micron filter to my aeromotive eliminator pump (pump is controlled by the billet controller) and a -10 line to the fuel rain. Right before the fuel rail I'll have a 6micron fuel lab filter. From FPR I have a either -8 or -10 back to the surge tank.
