Fitting on side of RMR intake pipe? Pic inside
The previous owner of my car installed a RMR intake pipe. I was taking it off this afternoon to do a boost leak test and noticed a black fitting that was sticking out of it but was not connected to anything. I blew air through it and it flowed freely through it. I was wondering if any one knew what this fitting is meant for?

Its used as a vacuum source for the stock breather tube from the right side of the valve cover. Most people use it as a vacuum source when installing a catch can setup using a closed loop design.

Ah thank you!! The PO had the breather tube just hanging off to the side...Should I attach it to that fitting then? Is it doing any harm not being attached to it?
