Koyo radiator cap..too much pressure?

Hey guys, I recently changed my water pump and during that time had changed my radiator cap to a KOYO high pressure radiator cap.

Before putting the cap on I pressurized the coolant system and it help 16psi strong..no leaks.

Today while driving the car I noticied a little smoke and when I popped my hood on rubber coolant line that goes from the thermostat housing to the turbo line was leaking..like sorta look like it busted in a sense.

Maybe its coincidence but maybe not. Was putting the higher pressure radiator cap a bad thing? Caused too much pressure and my hose busted? Really reluctant on boosting the car right now til I get an answer.

I can switch back to a stock cap and try to go from there but wanted to get some insight.

thanks in advance

Go back to a stock cap.... Dont over pressurize your cooling system i stayed away from that and bought OEM. What will happen is those rubber hoses that your refering to, will blow out when you are in the worst possible place, (ie the freeway for 150 miles from home or anywhere you can fix it on your own.) I had 2 break from wear and tear, and i bought all new hoses and replaced all of them (it was 35-40$) if you need the part numbers i would advise you to replace them, How many miles do you have on the car? IIRC all heater-core lines/those black coolant lines are supposed to be replaced at 60k and 120k

I only had a few rubber hoses and I replaced all of them at this time.

I just wasnt sure if the KOYO cap actually caused that. Anyone using that on here? If this is known to give problems/issues, I don't mind at all to go ahead and go back to the OEM cap. Just want to be sure thats the issue.
