So I have a ported ef3 with an invidia o2 housing getting ready to go on. I noticed that the oem o2 housing gasket does not exactly match the o2 housing. Should I grind down some of the gasket to match? Can you even grind the gasket since its all metal and it has a lip on it?

 

The thing is, that gasket matches perfectly with the turbine outlet, so I don't know how that would affect the seal between the housing and the outlet....

Invidia haven't always been the best... I haven't heard so many nice things about them...

 

is the gasket smaller than the turbine outlet on the turbo? post a pic?

 

No but it is smaller than the o2 housing.

 

since it doesn't block flow, no need to touch it.

 

How about this? I already hit it slightly with the grinder and realized I should have asked on here first.
Edit: I also marked it with a sharpie. Also, I only cleaned up the outlet of the turbine housing. I didn't even make the opening any bigger.
