Randomly pegged lean after injector install

I just installed my brand new ID1000 injectors w/ plug and play clips today to replace my stock injectors. I also used the premium SpoolinUp resistor pack bypass. The car always ran great with the stock injectors. After I finished installing the 1000cc's, I flashed a new scaled map, checked for leaks and then hit the road. I cruised for about 30 minutes to get food and the car ran perfect.

About 2 hours later however I go to leave and the car didn't want to fire. I had to hold the gas during crank up and the wideband showed pegged lean and wouldn't idle without me feathering the gas. I made it about 50 feet down the road watching the wideband pegged lean and pulled into a gas station. It felt like all 4 cylinders were getting nearly 0 fuel. No CEL (yet).

I popped the hood, checked for fuel leaks (none), reclipped the resistor bypass, wiggled the injectors & wires and tried starting the car. After 3 times repeating those steps, the car finally started like stock again and I was able to drive 30 minutes home again like nothing happened.

The issue came back just before I got to my house. I feel it was right when I hit a decent sized bump. What do you guys think the problem could be? Thanks

Possibly pulled on the injector clips too much and have a few wires loose.

I just reinstalled my stock injectors along with the resistor box and reflashed to the old rom. Car runs perfect again. I think I have 2 problem injectors.

I haven't heard much about ID injectors, but did they come with a flow test sheet?

If by ID he means Injector Dynamics, they are some of the heat injectors you can buy. That doesn't mean they're immune to failures though. I would double check wiring before blaming injectors...

If you have a tactrix cable you can look at the injector pulse width and duty cycle. Otherwise a simple scan tool can show you the short term fuel trims to see if the ecu is compensating for an injector that isn't firing.

It's either the tune (maybe the injectors aren't configured properly), the harness or the injectors

I figured I would give an update on this matter. After going back to stock injectors and running fine for a year, I chose to buy FIC 1650s and reuse my previous SpoolinUp resistor box bypass. The same thing happened! I removed the SpoolinUp plug and cut the factory wires and the car started and ran fine.

Sorry for bringing up old stuff but what was the issue? Was it the SpoolinUp Bypass Plug? Do they actually go bad?? I am curious because I think I am having a similar issue.

The problem was solved and it was the SpoolinUp plug. Both my 1650s and ID1000s ran fine after ditching the plug and cutting the factory wires.
