Does anyone have any videos of a valve job being done on an 05 Evo 8? Is this something I can do, or do I have to take it to a machine shop? If the number one valve is bad, should I have all valves replaced? What else should be done if I am having valves replaced?

 

IMO if you haven't had any experience with doing a valve job i would take it to a machine shop... Now with replacing the valves you can change the one valve but on the safe side replace them all..

 

take it to a machine shop, if you're doing the valves you might as well have them shave the head , do new valve seats, maybe upgrade to +1mm valves, and give her a good cleaning while they are at it. I had all of the above done for around 250 bucks or so but I paid for the valves separately

 

I replaced mine with OEM valves and lapped them. Lot of vids on YouTube showing the process and you can check leaks with some compressed air and cheap fuel injector cleaner. When everything is seated, it's good to go.
