So my friend and I are basically fixing his Evo. Which has been a lot more work than what I'm use to which are small Civic and Hyundai engines. I've only had to replace pistons once in my life but this time we're trying to fix his Evo9 MR. His Evo has been burning oil for the last 3-4 years, he's had to put anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 a quart a week depending on how much he drives and we finally decide to tear it down. Apparently his car has been rebuilt before because there's ARP parts everywhere but it still burnt oil. The edges of the piston looks bad to me but not to sure honestly as well he also wants to save some money so wondering from anyone with experience if these are fine or not. Please and thank you.

Hell no.. Those pistons are trash.. either he's been using trash gas or had a horrible tuner.. Time to rebuild the shortblock..

 

it is the same for all 4 pistons??
