Can a new exedy twin rebuild disk cause slipping during break in process?

Hi i bought a rebuild kit because my evo 8 clutch was slipping. I checked everything, the flywheel and the pressure plate were great and undamaged. I clean everything. But after i install it and run the car i noticed that is still slipping but i only have 100 miles and have not completed the break in process. It slip at high rpms. My question is : can the new disk slip at hight rpms until break in process is completed?

you do have the exedy flywheel, correct? and not using the stock one. if so, and you machined the surface of the flywheel, that same amount had to be removed off the towers on the flywheel. i rebuilt my twin disc, was getting on it 100 miles later and had no issues since.

Do you have a clutch fork stop installed? Make sure its close to the fork but not actually making contact when the clutch is engaged otherwise it will slip, new or not.

No, i dont have a clutch fork stop installed. I only installed the two discs. I checked the flywheel , the pressure plate. And everything was fine and looks undamaged. Also there are no leaks of oil, clutch doesnt need adjustement..

clutches slip at peak torque. slipping at high rpm is indicating your problem is not the clutch.
